Just learned of the passing of Skip from family in Bedford. He and I went through high school together. We always enjoyed visiting with him at the high school reunions. I had been thinking of him recently and tried to call a few weeks ago, but got no answer. He was a dear friend and I will miss him. My heartelt thoughts are with you and your family.

Deloros and Al have been our neighbors 2 different times. I was in high school living on M Street when your parents were on 19th and N, but for years now we have been in the same neighborhood on Palestine Road. We have enjoyed the wonderful Christmas decorations for so many years. They were the best in town!! I always enjoyed talking w/both your parents. You were blessed!! Your Dad will be missed in the neighborhood! Paralee Daggy

Mr. Fletcher was my first boss at the age of 16; I worked for him all through my years at Bedford High School & commuted home on weekends to work from IU. He was one of the most compassionate, understanding, & kind men I have ever known. To know Skip was to love him. He was so good to his employees and he took the time to listen. He loved his family, his God, his occupation, & he loved life. He will be missed!

Dearest Daddy, The pain of losing you has started to grow now, and I know it will only get worse as time goes on. But I am finding comfort knowing you are with our Lord and Savior. I will miss so many things about you: your smile, your laughter, your hugs and kisses, your love for life; but most of all our talks. You taught me so much about life and about caring for others, and for that I'm grateful. Nothing will ever take away my memories of you, and death cannot break our bond, nor steal away our love for each other. Give Mama a kiss for me. I'll see you both someday down the road. I love you.

Skip, You were ALWAYS the best Father-In-Law and Best Friend that anyone could have ever asked for. Like you told me all the time: "The two of us read from the same book" I only wish that we could have met earlier in life, so that we could have spent more quality time together. One day when we meet up again, we'll have to catch back up. And keep that water bottle out of Deloros's hands !!!
