Obituary of Jerry L. Fields

BedfordJerry L. Fields, 52, of 18 Maple Ridge, Bedford, died at 8:20 AM Friday, September 17th at his residence. Born on August 19, 1952 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Charles Fields Jr. and Alta Mae Crane. He was a truck driver with JLS in Bedford and a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. He married Debra Herod in 1975 and were later divorced. Survivors include his parents of Bedford; two sons: Jeremy Fields of Sheridan, IN and C.J. Fields of Bedford; two daughters: Jennifer Marie Fields and Elizabeth Sue Fields both of Oklahoma; one step son: Michael Murphy of Bedford; one brother: Charles Andy Fields of Pierre, South Dakota; one sister: Joanne Spaulding and her husband, James of Bedford; maternal grandmother: Hazel Crane of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call at Day & Carter Mortuary on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
