Obituary of Barbara Sue Ficklin

Bedford Barbara Sue Ficklin, 65, of Bedford, died at 4:45 am on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis. Born November 26, 1948 in Washington, IN, she was the daughter of Rev. Cloval Patton and Viola (Brown) Patton. She married Marion E. Ficklin on November 5, 1966 and he survives. She was a Supervisor of Advanced Data Operations at the I.U. Alumni Assoc. where she retired after twenty-seven years. She was a member of Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene where she played piano and sang all her life. She was a member of the Patton Trio that traveled and sang gospel music. Survivors include her husband, Marion, of Bedford; three daughters, Kristi Norman and husband, Mark, Kelli Morris and husband, Bill and Kimberly Guerra and husband, Rogelio, all of Bedford; six grandchildren, Brittany Rodrigues (Kristan), Bryant Norman (Whitney), Brianna Bartlett, Braden Bartlett and Jamison and Lyric; one great grandchild, Brecken Sue Norman; two step great grandchildren, Braxten and Mikaela. She was Granny to Josh and Libbi Landers. Also surviving is a brother, Doyle Ron Patton and wife, Sally of Seymour; two sisters, Judy Patton-Rushing of New Albany and Donna J. Landers and husband, Perry, of Springville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Shirley and Betty Patton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 1st at Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Duane Brown and Rev. Duane Boady officiating. Burial will follow in Hanson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 30th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, October 1st all at Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene.
