Obituary of Willa A. Faris

Bedford Willa A. (Mathis) Faris 74, of 5501 U.S. 50 East, Bedford, IN, died at 9:00 pm on Monday, January 28, 2008 at her residence.Born June 8, 1933 in Pinhook, IN, she was the daughter of Victor and Alberta (Myers) Mathis. She married Don Faris on December 31, 1955 and he survives. She retired as a bookkeeper from the Bedford National Bank. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bedford and a long-time volunteer with the Auxiliary at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Don of Bedford; two sons, Mike Faris and his wife, Jennifer of Bedford and Tommy Faris and his wife, Crystal of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Naphtali, Thomas, Jeremy and Timothy; two brothers, Max Mathis and his wife, Dorothy of Bargersville, Carrol Mathis and his wife, Joan of Buddha; one sister, Nancy Bramer and her husband, Kenneth. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marie Borden and June Hudson and one brother, Howard Mathis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, February 1st at the First Baptist Church in Bedford with Rev. Dr. Tommy Faris and Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Entombment will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 31st at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, February 1st at the First Baptist Church.
