Obituary of Jack C. Elliott

Bedford Jack C. Elliott, 79, of 1310 21st Street, Bedford, died at 11:50 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born October 11, 1928 in Pulaski County, KY, he was the son of James and Ella Mae (Tolley) Elliott. He married Leona Reynolds on January 29, 1949 and she survives. He retired from General Motors as a journeyman maintenance welder in Bedford and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, U.A.W. Local #440 and the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM. He was a past Monarch of the Hajji Grotto and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Leona of Bedford; two daughters, Wanda Sanders and her husband, Stephen and Sandra Bishop and her husband, Tom all of Bedford; one son, Michael Elliott and his wife, Marcella of Bedford; one brother, Jim Elliott and his wife, Mary of Indianapolis; one sister, Bonnie Cook and her husband, Henry of Mitchell; four grandsons, Phillip Sanders and his wife, Lydia, Christopher Sanders, Brad Bishop and Roger Bishop, four great grandchildren, Jon, Amanda, Samantha Sanders and Josiah Peters; one great great grandson, Vincent Disbro. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 5th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Gary Baker and Rev. Fred Barger officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 4th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, April 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Friday by members of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM.
