Bonnie, Mike and Ronette, I am so sorry that I could not be with you today to comfort and support you at this sad time. You are in my prayers and thoughts and have been in my prayers and thoughts since I heard of Marlyn's passing. My deepest prayer is that he did not suffer and he will be missed. He was such a good man, a joy to watch show a cutting horse, a good friend. My heart is indeed heavy for all of you. Remember always that we are wrapped in God's love and he will give us strength if we call upon him.

Bonnie, Mike, Danny, Ryan,
My heart is heavy for someone who was not only a gifted horseman but someone I'm proud to have called my friend and mentor.
I have so many wonderful memories during my time with all of you. Marlyn meant a great deal to me and taught me so much. The best job ever! Each of you made me feel like part of the family and I treasure that always.
Marlyn touched so many lives and he will remain in our hearts forever.

Cutting has remained a major part of my life due to his guidance, patience and above all sense of humor! I would love to go back and just enjoy one more day at a cutting with him in the pen! As Bob Hope said "Thanks for the Memories!" Prayers to all the Egger family and peace in knowing you had the best!

Jim and I are lifting you all up in our prayers. Marlyn was a good man. Always a smile, always helpful, always a great competitor. Some of the best times of our lives were spent at cuttings in Kentucky and Indiana. Marlyn was a part of that. We remember him showing Dry Oil so cooly and with such confidence. A dear man who has made Heaven a little better. May his favorite horse have been waiting for him. God Speed Marlyn.
