Obituary of Irene Weyer Edwards

Irene Weyer Edwards Bedford Irene Weyer Edwards, 88, of Johnson Christian Village, died at 7:37 am Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. Born October 26, 1922 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Andrew and Ruby (Short) Wolfinger. She married William Raymond Bud Weyer and he preceded her in death in January of 1966. She then married Faye Slim Trester and he preceded her in death in November of 1975. Irene was a Homemaker and a member of the Free Methodist Church, the Merry Widows Group, Solsberry #547 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Department Club. Survivors include four daughters, Nancy Dyer of Columbus, Margaret Osmon and husband, Jerry of North Salem, Jean Joyner and husband, Joe of Bedford, and Jane Woodward and husband, David of Bedford; a son, Joe Trester of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one brother, Christian Eugene Wolfinger; one sister, Elva Mae; and one son, Frank Trester. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with her son, Pastor Joe Trester officiating. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24th and from noon until service time on Wednesday, May 25th. Eastern Star Services will be conducted at 7:30 pm Tuesday by the Solsberry #547 Order. Memorial contributions may be made to Johnson Christian Village.
