Obituary of Emory Earl Edwards

Bedford Emory Earl (Bud) Edwards, 78, of Bedford, died at 4:53 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at his residence. Born September 28, 1930 in Orange County, IN, he was the son of David Henry and Nellie Belle (Smith) Edwards. He married Joan Endris on October 22, 1982 and she survives. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Surviving along with his wife are six children, Vernon Edwards and wife, Cheryl, Vickie Edwards Starr, Bev Saunders and husband, Paul, Donna George and husband, Darin, Brad Endris and wife Shannon, Dana Sasser and husband, Adam; twelve grandchildren, Amanda Hall, Tiffany Edwards, Josh Holt, Dustin George, Brittany Edwards, Leslie Saunders, Derek George, Thomas (T.J.) Saunders, Corey Endris, Zachary Sasser, Dylan Endris and Isaiah Sasser; two sisters, Bonnie Conley and Mary Summers. He was preceded in death by eight brothers, Raymond, Robert and Luther Edwards, Lloyd, Clyde, William, Raymond and Menlo Sanders; two sisters, Hazel Smith and Avis Flora. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 22nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Phil Thorne and Pastor Dr. Donald Philips officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
