Obituary of Norma L. Armstrong

Texas Norma L. Armstrong, 78, of San Antonio, TX and formerly of Bedford, died at 7:17 am on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Meridian Health Care in San Antonio, TX. Born April 16, 1933 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lewis H. and Edna Irene (East) Smith. She married John D. Armstrong and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was a nurses aide and a member of Faith Mission Church in Bedford. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa L. Armstrong of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Wanda S. Lunan and Barbara Ratkos. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Leonard Sankey officiating. Burial will follow in Knott Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31st and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, September 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
