Obituary of Dennis Lane Duncan

Bedford Dennis Lane Duncan, 59, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his residence. Born May 22, 1954 in Bedford, the son of Eugene Laverne and Rozella Duncan. He was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1972. He proudly served two terms in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. Survivors include his mother, Rozella Duncan of Bedford; a son, Scotty Duncan of Rapid City, SD; his companion, Teresa Spinks of Bedford; four brothers, Mark Duncan and wife, Pam, Larry Duncan and wife, Barbara, Dale Duncan and wife, Bobbie and Rick Duncan and wife, Patsy all of Bedford; several nieces and nephews, Jason Duncan, Angie Tidd, Justin Duncan, Kimberly Duncan, Sarah Terry, Matthew Duncan, John Coe and Lisa Duncan. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Laverne Duncan and two nieces, April and Lori Duncan. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Sherman Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, February 24th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, February 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
