Obituary of Lois Drake
Heltonville Lois Drake, 72, of Heltonville, died at 11:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born January 5, 1939, in Carroll County, KY, she was the daughter of James F. and Mildred (Proctor) Riley. Lois married Buford Drake on December 21, 1957 and he survives. Lois worked as a secretary for the First United Methodist Church for 22 years. She was a member of the Mundell Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a 4-H leader for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Buford of Heltonville; three daughters, Kimberly Gray and husband Randy of Bloomington, Kelly Clymer and husband Steve of Martinsville, and Kathy George and husband David of Bedford; a son, James Drake and companion Beth Frigerio of Huron; eight grandchildren, Diana Humphrey, Josiah Hunter, Kristen Hunter, Emily Hunter, Brittany Prince, David A. George, Nevaeh George, and Katrina George; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Kring and husband Bob of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Thomas George; and a sister in infancy. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 2 at the Mundell Christian Church with John Wisley and Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1 at the Day & Carter Mortuary and 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday, February 2 at Mundell Christian Church.
