Obituary of Susie Johnson
Bedford Susie Johnson, 55, of Bedford, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 1, 2013 at her residence.
Born September 15, 1957 in Middletown, OH, she was the daughter of William Clarence and Margie Odel (Smith) Lawson. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Johnson, on July 18, 1975 and he survives. She was a faithful wife, homemaker, wonderful mother and enjoyed being a nanny to her grandchildren. As a young mother, she home schooled her children as they traveled and evangelized throughout the country. She and Bill were pastors of the Hilltop Pentecostal Church in Avoca for twenty-two years. She was known to be friendly, open and loving to all whom she met.
Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Bedford; two daughters, Amy Johnson of Bedford and her children, Garrett and Abi Armbrister, Jennifer Thompson and her husband, Philip of Springville and their children, Bailey, Brooklynn and Carter; two sisters, Betty Poling and Kathy Coldiron both of Middletown, OH; two brothers, Tom Lawson of Middletown, OH and Tony Lawson of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her five sisters: Faye Reed, Georgia DeBord, Margaret Kelly, Shirley Lawson and Joetta Lawson. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, April 5th at the Hilltop Pentecostal Church in Avoca with Rev. Larry Daugherty of Alabama and Rev. Larry Pruitt of Tennessee officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, April 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
