Obituary of Velma Pauline Dodds

Madison Velma Pauline (Paxton) Dodds, 87, of Hanover, IN, formerly of Bedford, died at 6:02 pm Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. Born January 18, 1917 in Oolitic, she was the daughter of John and Mary L. (Morrison) Paxton. She married Paul L. Dodds on August 16, 1941 and he died November 15, 1987. She retired from the NWSC CRANE and was a member of the First Baptist Church, AARP. She was the past president of the Businesss and Professional Womens Club, Womens Dept. Club and Gov. Retirees Club. Survivors include one grandson, Jon Scott Dodds of Bedford; two nephews, Stephen White of Madison and Muir Frey of Ann Arbor, MI; one niece, Melissa Pridmore of Winnetka, IL; one great grandson, Jerrod Dodds of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, John Dodds and two sisters, Maxine Frey and June White. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 am on Monday, January 26th at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 10:30 am until the hour of service on Monday at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
