Obituary of Sherry Lynn Dickey
Oolitic Sherry Lynn Dickey, 45, of 166 Liberty Bell Street, East Oolitic, IN, died Friday, May 26, 2006 at her residence.
Born September 23, 1960 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of Permelia Pam Stern Dickey. Sherry received her bachelors degree in Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She was the senior case manager for the Center for Behavioral Health. She was devoted to the welfare of those she provided care for and was a loyal friend. She enjoyed spending time at home with her family, friends and two dogs.
Survivors include two sisters, Shannon Faucett of Jackson, MI and her children, Chrystal and James of MI; Teresa Leonard and her husband, John of Redford, MI and their children, John, Jessica and Rose all of MI; four great nieces and nephews, Carly, Kyle, Molly and Scotty; her faithful K-9 companions, Samantha and Bailey; many friends and clients from the Center for Behavioral Health. She was preceded in death by her companion, Carla Godsey; her parents and her grandparents, Thelma and David Stern with whom she was raised. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, June 2nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Gordon Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Mundell Cemetery.
