Obituary of Burnettia Denny

Bedford Burnettia Denny, 89, of Bedford, died at 10:45 am on Sunday, October 19, 2003 at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born July 9, 1913 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Samuel J. and Edna (Bartlett) Ray. She married William J. Denny on June 20, 1937 and he died February 9, 1987. She was a retired school teacher and counselor in Lawrence County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Indiana State Teachers Assoc. and the Order of the Eastern Star where she had been a past worthy matron. Survivors include one son, William J. Denny of Indianapolis; one daughter, Sammie Wright of Morehead, KY; four grandchildren; one sister, Laverne White of Indianapolis and one brother, Linvel Ray of Connersville, IN Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 23rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Jon Lineback officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
