Obituary of Donald W. Denny

Mitchell Donald W. Denny, 73, a resident of Mitchell Manor, formerly of 2559 Old Farm Road, Springville, died on Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Mitchell Manor. Born December 13, 1929 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Jones W. and Elsie (Hackler) Denny. He was a self-employed farmer in Springville, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the V.F.W. Post #1686 of Oolitic. Survivors include one son, Donald J. Denny and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Lauren and Kirk Denny all of Mitchell, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Evelyn VanTassell. Funeral Information A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 2nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until the hour of service on Sunday, November 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Lawrence County Relay for Life.
