Obituary of Deanna K. Delaney

Bedford Deanna K. Delaney, 71, of Bedford, died at 4:00 am on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at her residence. Born December 31, 1938 in Fayetteville, IN, she was the daughter of Elston and Lottie (Allen) Pierce. She married Jack Duke Delaney on March 3, 1956 and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2002. She was a clerical worker for Sears & Roebuck for twenty-nine years and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, walking her dog and Notre Dame football. Survivors include two daughters, Danette and Deborah Delaney both of Bedford; one son, Doug Delaney of Bedford; three brothers, Norman, Richard and James Pierce all of Bedford; two sisters, Naomi Gillespie and Jane Kelly both of Bedford; six grandchildren and her dog, Bitsy Girl. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandson, Josh and great grandson, Michael. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Friday, March 19th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8;00 pm on Thursday, March 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
