Obituary of Audrey Buher Day

Bedford-Audrey Buher Day, 92, of Bedford passed away at 4:13 PM Friday, January 6, 2012 at Johnson Christian Village. Born July 28, 1919 in Bedford, IN she was the daughter of Howard Logan and Faye (Jackson) Buher. She married William Russell Day on December 24, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of First Christian Church in Bedford. She worked as a seamstress at M. Fine and Sons, was a Pink Lady volunteer at Dunn Memorial Hospital for many years and was a former member of the Womens Department Club. Audrey was a very kind, compassionate, giving and loving lady who will be missed by all. Survivors include one son: Berry Day and his wife Barbara of Bedford; one daughter: Linda White and her husband Charles of Mitchell; one son in law: Marvin Clark of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren: Cheryl Highland, Michael, and Trent White, Tricia Riggen, Tim, Greg, and Johnathan Day, and Kyle Clark; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter Carol Clark; 5 brothers, Abe, Claude, Ivan, Chuck and Andy; 1 sister, Bernice Whalen. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Berry Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
