Obituary of Mae Esther Neal Davis

Bedford-Mae Esther Neal Davis, 77 was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, at 11:24 A.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Stonebridge Health Campus with her family by her side. Born October 15, 1931 she was the daughter of Jerry and Frances (Stigall) Ryan she was the youngest of 10 children. She married William F. Neal and he preceded her in death she later married Edward Davis who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and was very active in her church. Besides being a wonderful homemaker and mother she worked at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home, RCA, General Motors, and Mitchell Manor. Survivors include two daughters Sandy McFarlan and her husband Jim, and Becky Douglas and her husband Charlie all of Bedford; one son William Neal and his wife Pam of Bedford; Three sisters in law Avis Ramsay and Norma Jean Ryan both of Bedford, and Zenia Ryan of Greenwood; six grandsons: Patrick Spaulding of Boston, MA, Brad Mason and his fiance Lisa, Travis Mason, Billy Neal, Christopher McFarlan, all of Bedford, Brandon Neal and his fiance Crystal of Orleans; two step grandsons: Jimmy McFarlan and Chuck Douglas both of Bedford; two step granddaughters: Jamie Kelly of Florida, and Darla Douglas of Seymour; four great grandchildren: Cameron R. Neal, Alivia Mason, Treyton Neal, and Mark Mason; 14 step great grandchildren: Taylor Kelly, Amanda Ireland, Logan Causey, Sadie McFarlan, Makrah McFarlan, Graden McFarlan, Bethany Ireland, Sharlie Jane, and Mariah Douglas, Justin and Katie Douglas, Adrienne, Audrey, and Alyssa Young; several nieces and nephews; also her sisters in Christ: Nancy George, Cathy Capshaw, and April Wilson all of Bedford, Pastor John Dodd and wife Jackie of Texas. Her faithful caregivers of many years: Dr. Travis, Older Americans, Hoosier Uplands Home Health, Hospice, Dunn ICU, Dialysis, Med/Surg floor and Dunn Ambulance staff. Last but not least her family at Stonebridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Monroe, Russell, Wesley, and Joe Ryan; five sisters: Geneva Patton, Florence Godsey, Frona Ray, Vida Smoot, and one infant sister; one grandson Blake Emanuel Neal. Funeral Information Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 13th at the Beech Grove Cemetery in Bedford with Pastor Glen Duncan officiating.
