Obituary of Frederick A. Davis

Bedford Frederick A. Davis, 97, of Bedford, formerly of Oolitic, died at 2:00 am on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. Born December 15, 1912 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Charles and Ethel (May) Davis. He married Ida P. Gyger in 1934 and she preceded him in death on March 30, 2006. He retired as a supervisor for NWSC Crane in 1975 and attended Gulletts Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Tincher of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Everett Eugene and Lee Roy Davis; three sisters, Edna Irene and Mildred George and Marie Wray; a son, Dennis Davis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
