Obituary of Josephine Helen Curtis
Bedford Josephine Helen(Lunsford) Curtis, 92, of 1319 Bennett Road, Bedford, died at 6:31 pm on Friday, March 18, 2005 at the Hospitality House in Bedford.
Born October 10, 1912 in Crab Orchard, KY, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mattie Jane Lunsford. She previously was married to Robert Hendricks and John Max Davis. Then she was married to Kermit Curtis for forty-seven years and he survives. She was a homemaker and a farmer and a member of Gulletts Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving with her husband, Kermit are three sons, Jack Hendricks and his wife, Jackie of Avon, IN, Jerry Davis and his companion, Pam Bay of Bloomington, IN and John Davis and his wife, Linda of Bedford, IN; two daughters, Marguerite Kinser and Judy Walters and her husband, Rex all of Bloomington, IN; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, Donald Hendricks, one grandson, Darren Hendricks, three brothers, Will, Jim and Roy Lunsford, three sisters, Grace Ballard, Margarett Trinkle and Elizabeth Price Hamilton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 21st at the Gulletts Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Lippert officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Monday at the church.
