Obituary of Phyllis Jean Pendley Curren
Bedford Phyllis Jean Pendley Curren, 86, of Bedford, died at 7:15 am on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Garden Villa.
Born January 22, 1925 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Perry and Louise (Rainey) Pendley. She married John S. Mr. Spud Curren on January 26, 1944 and he survives. She was a graduate of Needmore High School with the class of 1943. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, John, of Bedford; one daughter, Drenda K. Brunt and husband, Max of Summitville, IN; two sons, John E. Curren and companion, Barbara Lofland and Samuel L. Curren and wife, Ruby all of Bedford; five grandchildren, Max Allen Brunt, Melissa Gilbert, Maleaha Evans, Lynessa Cummings and J.R. Curren; one step-grandchild, Christian Garciano; eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Fish and Marilee Davis; one brother, Charles Pendley. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 10th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, March 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
