Obituary of Mary C. Cummings

Bedford Mary C. Cummings, 72, of 1325 U Street, Bedford, died at 4:27 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born August 28, 1933 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Richard and Ilene (Moore) Key. She married Morrell R. Tucker. She later married Roy Cummings and he preceded her in death. She retired from Stone City Products in Bedford and worked at Crane Naval Ammunition Depot during the 1970s. She attended the Grace Methodist Church. She enjoyed college basketball, playing cards and her grandkids and great grandkids. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Ann (Pat) Stickles and her husband, Steve of Bedford; Karen Starr of Rochester, MN; five grandchildren, Jason Beretta and his wife, Robin of Bedford; Michael Starr of Rochester, MN; Clint and Logan Stickles and Christa Fulkerson and her husband, B.J. all of Bedford; two great grandchildren, Gage Beretta and Grace Fulkerson both of Bedford; two step-sons, Ron Cummings and his wife, Tammy of Florida; Tom Cummings of England; two step-daughters, Patsy Cummings of Bedford and Kara Beth Cummings of California; four brothers, Roy Key and his wife, Diana; Donnie Key and his wife, Georgia; John R. Key and his wife, Betty all of Bedford and Jerry Key and his wife, Charla of Mitchell; aunt and uncle, Merle and Mertis Moore several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy; one brother, Merle Eugene Key and one sister, Pauline Robards. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 3rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 2nd and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
