Obituary of Jerry Crozier

Jerry L. Crozier, 68, of 857 E. Oolitic Rd, passed away at 10:58 am on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born December 21, 1940 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Thomas J. Crozier and Edna (Covey) Crozier. Jerry married Mary Sanders on January 13, 1962 and she survives. He was a retired concrete finisher. Jerry was a member of the East Oolitic Community Church. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his mother Edna Charles of Oolitic; his wife Mary of Bedford; one son, Thomas Crozier and his wife Kadie of Bloomington; four daughters, Genia Fitzgearld of Bedford, Debi Johnson and her husband Kent of Bedford, Shelley Dodds and her husband David of Oolitic and Jerri Ann Gore and her husband Jim of Bedford; two sisters, Sharon Nikirk and her husband Danny and Brenda Terrell and her husband Roger of Bedford; one sister-in-law Jacklyn Crozier of East Oolitic; one brother-in-law Larry Sanders of Mitchell; fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren , six step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his father Thomas Crozier; four brothers, Thomas Jr., Howard, Kenny and Norman. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Dive Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28 at Day & Carter Mortuary.
