Obituary of Mary M. Canada Craig

Bedford Mary M. Canada Craig, 94, of Lawrence Co., called home to God at 6:25 am on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born January 23, 1916, she was the daughter of Welker and Louanna (Wagner) Wright. She married Claude Dale Canada and he preceded her in death. She later married Roy Bun Craig and he also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Brock of Bedford; a son, Jack Canada and wife, Mary of Evansville; three step-daughters, Karen DeGrasse and Brenda Phillips both of Mitchell and Donna Hacket of Richmond, VA; twelve grandchildren, R. Dennis Brock and wife, Barbara of Silverville, Becci Brock, David Brock, Dan Brock and wife, Sue all of Bedford, Tony Canada of Onalaska, TX, Brad Canada and wife, Heather of Bedford, Angela Mahan and husband, Michael of Fremont, CA, Melissa Canada, Christina Canada, Maria Taylor and husband, Scott of Evansville, Kim Parsons of Mitchell and Shelley Brewer of Orleans; twenty-six great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; a sister, Florence Carry of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son, Olin Canada; great great grandson, Daniel Godsey; brother, Ralph Wright; half-brothers, Ora Wright, Opal and Merlin Sipes; half-sisters, Cora, Navella, Edith, Hazel and Goldie Wright and Lois Sipes. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Carl Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverville Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, September 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
