Obituary of William Lloyd Craig
Bedford William Lloyd Craig, 87, a resident of Core Nursing and Rehab. Center, formerly of 3231 Pumphouse Road, Bedford, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 12:15 am on Monday, November 3, 2008 at Core Nursing and Rehab.
Born May 21, 1921 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of William E. and Loda (Canada) Craig. He married Marjorie A. Wilson on September 30, 1939 and she survives. He was a minister, a carpenter and builder. He was a member of the Glenn Lawn Pentecostal Church of Seymour. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. He shared the love of God with everyone he met.
Surviving with his wife, Marjorie of Bedford is one son, William P. Craig and his wife, Doris of Bloomington; three daughters, Judith A. Melvin of Bedford, Janice G. Lewis and her husband, Jerry of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Joy Ellen Hunt and her husband, Jon of Bedford; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Craig of Belleview, FL and Ted Craig of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Lois Shelton and her husband, Orville of West Virginia, Ruthie Sanders and her husband, Lloyd of Seymour; one half-brother, Matthew Craig of Heltonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one grandson, W. Troy Craig; two brothers, Wilbur and Roy Craig; one sister, Mildred Townsend. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Homer Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Silverville. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 6th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday, November 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
