Obituary of Lowell N. Craig

Bedford Lowell N. Fuzzy Craig, 83, of 9 Taylor Run, Bedford, went home to be with the Lord at 8:01 am on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford after a lengthy illness. Born March 15, 1924 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Forest and Zona (West) Craig. He married Ruth E. Helton and she preceded him in death in 1998. He retired as a millwright after forty years at General Motors in Bedford. Survivors include one daughter, Diana K. Archer and her husband, Kenneth R. of Bedford; one son, Mark A. Craig and his wife, Sissy of Mitchell; three grandsons, Robbie Downham and his wife, Tami, Bradley Downham and Sutton Jenkins and Alan Craig; great grandchildren, Jessica Graham, Kelsey, Devin, Sidney, Miranda and Kaleb Downham; one great great grandson, Nicholas Graham; two step-grandsons, Rob Archer and his wife, Lisa and Ryan Archer and his wife, Valorie; two step-granddaughters, Julie Tow and Kari Terrell and her husband, Bub; six step great grandchildren, Zachery, Lexi, Maddi and Carley Archer, Kristopher Kinder and Jae Tolbert; five sisters, Wanda Craig and her husband, Pastor Merla Craig, Norma Terry and her husband, Bill, Doris Conner, Viola Waggoner and her husband, Loren, Anah Hall and her husband, Leonard; four brothers, Edwin Cap Craig and his wife, Anna Dee, Donald Craig and his wife, Mary Esther, Audra Craig and his wife, Clarice and Vince Craig and his wife, Frances; two aunts and one uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one grandson, Bruce Downham and one brother, Victor Lance Craig (in infancy). Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, October 1st from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ron Craig and Bro. Alan Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 30th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, October 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
