Obituary of Michael Ford Craig
Bedford Michael F. Craig, 69, of Bedford, died at his residence on Friday, Sep. 6, 2013.
Born May 25, 1944 in Bedford, he was the only child of Earl K. and Dorothy (Ford) Craig. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #33 where he proudly served with the Honor Guard. He was also a lifetime member of Bedford Boat & Sportsman Club. He was in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from General Motors. He loved his family and working outside in his yard and garden.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Ruth; three beautiful daughters, Suzan Craig of Commerce City, CO, Shellee Craig and Heidi Craig, both of Bedford; three grandsons, Colton and Wesley Phelps of Paoli, IN, and Jackson Tanner Craig of Bedford; two step-children, Toni Lowman of Ohio, and Joseph Gase of Florida; six step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 10th at the Elmwood Chapel at the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford with Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Tuesday, September 10th. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery with military rights from American Legion Post #33.
