Obituary of Mary Esther Craig

Bedford Mary Esther Craig, 82, of 1168 Trogden Lane, Bedford (Needmore), made her journey home to be with the Lord at 5:10 pm on Monday, January 17, 2011 with her family at her bedside. Born June 7, 1928, she was the daughter of Findley and Hattie (Mayo) Gyger. She married Donald Craig on May 18, 1947 and he survives. She served the Lord in music by singing, choir directing and piano playing. She was an active member of the Englewood Baptist Church. Surviving along with her husband of sixty-three years is one son, Ronald Craig and wife, Leesa; a daughter-in-law, Martha J. Craig; four grandchildren, Bridget (Blaine) Mackey, Sherry (Eric) Scherschel, Kevin E. (Heather) Craig, Jason Jake (Jesse) Craig; nine great grandchildren, Garrett, Gavin and Michaella Scherschel, Travin, Wade and Kinley Craig, Martha Craig, Alivia Grace and Addison Faith Mackey; a sister, June Ballard and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Craig; a sister, Ida Pauline Davis and a brother, Robert Gyger. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 19th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, January 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
