Obituary of Betty June Coulter

Bedford-Betty June Spike (Turpin) Coulter, 83, of 724 O Street went to join God at 12:30 A.M. Saturday, April 04, 2009 peacefully in her sleep following a lengthy illness at her residence. Born January 29, 1926 in Lawrence County she was the daughter of Ralph and Martha (Bates) Hall. She first married Lloyd Turpin and he preceded her in death, she then married Eddie McGinness and he died while serving in Vietnam, she then married Earl Coulter, Jr. he also preceded her in death, she later married Patrick Stewart Woody and he also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and loved by everyone who knew her. She lived life to the fullest; she was always there to lend a helping hand and always had a smile. Survivors include six daughters: Betsy Coulter of Port Orange, FL, Marti Coulter of Bedford, Teresa Reed of Mitchell, Martha Brim of Mitchell, Rebecca Thompson of California, and Cathy Sharp of Bedford; two sons: Ralph Turpin of Mitchell, and Lloyd Turpin, Jr. of Bedford; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four husbands, and one son Samual Turpin, and one sister. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 7th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Clarence Brown officiating; Burial will follow in the Green Hill cemetery.
