Obituary of Jerry Lee Conner
Bedford-Jerry Lee Conner, 71, of Bedford passed away at 9:48pm on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospice House after a 7 year battle with cancer.
Born December 30, 1942 in Bedford, IN he was the son of Vada and Dorothy (Marsh) Conner. He married Phyllis Kay Robbins on September 14, 1979 and she survives. He retired as a die cast operator for General Motors on July 1, 2005, he had also worked for Ingalls Stone Company, and was a member of the UAW, IAM, and had served in the Army National Guard. He attended First Assembly of God Church. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, playing golf, and pitching horseshoes.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Kay of Bedford, one son: Kevin Lee Conner and his wife Cara of Orleans, their children: Caroline and Katherine; one daughter: Sara Diane Conner of Bedford and her son Isaiah; two brothers: Darrell Conner and his wife Fran of Bedford, Jack Conner and his wife Nina of Bedford; two sisters: Delores Dugger of Bedford, and Mona Dobkins of Bedford, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 4th 2014 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Tim Kellerman, Pastor Glen Duncan, and Pastor Bill McKee officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, March 3rd and from 9:00am until the hour of service on Tuesday. Donations Information
