Obituary of Mary F. Colgan

Bedford Mary F. Colgan, 89, of Bedford, died at 7:30 am, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. Born June 23, 1925 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Dora and Clona (Ray) Robbins. She married Willard Colgan on December 25, 1943 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1990. She was a homemaker and a mother. She attended Fairview Community Church and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Survivors include; two daughters, Barbara Reynolds and husband Larry of Bedford and Betty Mooneyham and husband Luke of Bedford, one son, Lanny Colgan and wife Mary of Spencer, eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard, two sisters, Peggy Scherschel and Betty Robbins, two brothers, Norval and Charlie Robbins and one grandchild, Deborah. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Lindy Hopkins and Rev. David Colgan officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the mortuary.
