Obituary of Jeanette Cobb

Bedford Jeanette Cobb, 80, of 1459 Trogden Lane, Bedford, died at 7:00 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at her residence. Born December 11, 1924 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Lewis) Turner. She married Earl Cobb on June 20, 1942 and he preceded her in death. She retired as a custodian from the North Lawrence School System and was a member of the Gulletts Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Steve Cobb and his wife Linda of Judah, Ernie Wayne Cobb of Needmore; one daughter, Darlene Caraway and her husband, Steve of Needmore; five grandchildren, Deanna McCurdy, Andy Caraway, Dawn Andrick, Burt Cobb and Jason Cobb; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald (John) Turner and his wife, Barbara; two sisters, Phyllis May and her husband, Bernard, Sue Cheek and her husband, Frank. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandsons, Earl Dean and Ernie Joel Cobb and three brothers, Raymond, Kenneth and Richard Turner. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 18th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 17th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. View Video Tribute
