Obituary of Erie Lucille Cobb

Bedford Erie Lucille Cobb, 90, of 1616 11th Street, Bedford, died June 26, 2006 at her residence following a bout with pneumonia. Born March 29, 1916 in Orange Co., she was the daughter of Ott and Mae (Thompson) Livingston. She married John Cobb in 1939. She made her home in Bedford for sixty-five years and retired from General Motors in 1978 after thirty years of service in the Heat Resistant Alloy Department. Lucille was passionate about her family, protecting and saving animals, gardening and quilting. She was a member of the U.A.W. Local #440, McDonalds Chapel of United Brethren and The White River Humane Society. Survivors include two sons: Stephen Cobb and his wife, Selma, of Bedford and Stanley Cobb of Shelbyville; one brother, Ralph Livingston of English; four grandchildren: Edward Cobb and his wife, JoAnna, Chad Cobb and his wife, Cheri, all of Bedford, Stephenie Cobb Knoll and her husband, Jim, of Indianapolis and Bryant Cobb of North Lauderdale, FL, and seven great grandchildren: Spencer, Sam, Mitchell, Alex, Isabel, Lucy and Jonah. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys Gilliatt and Joanne Knight, and one brother, Rex Livingston. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 1st at the Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Colgan officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 30th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Pallbearers are Ed Cobb, Chad Cobb, Bryant Cobb, Jim Knoll, Spencer Burton and Sam Cobb.
