Obituary of Elsie M. Clampitt

Indianapolis Elsie M. Clampitt, 92, of Bethany Village in Indianapolis, formerly of Bedford, died at 6:30 am on Monday, May 30, 2005 at her residence. Born August 19, 1912 in Monroe Co., IN, she was the daughter of Raymond and Leafy (Quillen) Hawkins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Faith. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Sutton of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Trena Jane Dicus, Joy Ash, Debbie Sutton and Jimmy Sutton all of Indianapolis; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Ansel Hawkins of Bedford and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Helen Sowders; four brothers, Lloyd, Kelsey, Bill and Morris Eugene Hawkins and one great grandson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 4th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Steve Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ebal Cemetery in Monroe County. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, June 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
