Obituary of Marie Jackson

Bedford Marie Jackson, 89, of Bedford, died at 6:20 am on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the White River Lodge in Bedford. Born April 14, 1918, she was the daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Peyton) McCain. She married William Bud Jackson and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leatherwood Christian Church. Survivors include four daughters, Marilyn Johnson and her husband, Russell, Janet Jones, Linda Giles and her husband, Jack, Nedra Wade and her husband, Lynn all of Bedford; four grandchildren, Michael Jones of Indianapolis, Greg Wade of Bedford, Julie (Wade) Karvoski at Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Todd Johnson of Paoli; eleven great grandchildren; four sisters, Frances Turpen, Helen Reynolds, Barbara Payton and her husband, Jack, Ruth Rainey and her husband, Virgil all of Bedford; two brothers, Robert McCain and his wife, Bonnie of Bedford, Kenneth McCain and his wife, Juanita of Elizabethtown, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Ernest and Paul McCain and one son-in-law, Dale Jones. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 17th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Sherman Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Christian Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
