I was fortunate to meet Denise when she enrolled as a college student. She had such a passion for her Head Start children and she was a wonderful role model to them, their families and co-workers. I know she will be greatly missed by so many, as it was many she touched. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family in this time of loss and sadness.

I worked several years ago with Ms. Denise and found her very kind and loving to the children. She always talked to me if we met outside of school and I liked her very much. I am sorry for the loss to HeadStart of a very capable and kind teacher.

Miss Denise was a wonderful teacher as well as a person all 5 of my kids had her as a teacher and they all thought the world of her. I have 1 daughter that even went back to volenteer in her class when her younger sister was there and she encoursged her to work in a field where she could work with kids cause she was good at it we were all so lucky to have her i our kids lives.My heart goes out to her family and her Boys May God be with all of them

Denise, We used to have a lot of fun and laughs from school to Thornton Pool(now Lowery). Only one month separated our age and I guess that made us closer. We grew up, went separate ways, but I never forgot you. The last time I saw you was when Dad passed away June '03, and you were the same girl I always remembered.
