Obituary of David Solomon Butler

Williams David Solomon (Davey) Butler, 46, of 24318 Graded Road, Williams, died at 10:15 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Born May 8, 1961 in Bedford, he was the son of Jack L. and Elizabeth L. (Kinney) Butler. He married Jona Gaither on October 6, 1984 and she survives. He was a self-employed carpenter and had worked for Black Beauty Coal Co. from 1992 to 2004.He was a member of the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church. He loved music, art and his home place. Surviving with his wife, Jona of Williams is one son, Lucas Neil Butler of Williams; one daughter, Desirae Michelle Butler of Williams; two sisters, Cyndy Williams and her husband, James and Chris Anne Smith all of Mitchell; one brother, Dan Butler and his wife, Linda of Williams; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey David Williams, James Kurtis Williams, Ava Jade Smith, Cinandra Beth McCleery, Deidra Sue Leosch, John Campbell, Jennifer Campbell and Christopher Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Carl Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Silverville, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 10th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, February 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. View Video Tribute
