Obituary of Mildred M. Butcher

Bedford Mildred M. Butcher, 86, of 53 Farmer Street, Bedford, died at 3:15 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford. Born September 2, 1925 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of John and Vinia (Lee) Eagans. She married Herman L. Butcher, Sr. in 1946 and he survives. She was a production worker for RCA and attended the East Oolitic General Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Herman of Bedford; children, Herman L. Butcher, Jr. of Bloomington, Rosalee Sis Chandler of Bedford, Wade Jones and wife (Jennifer) of Mitchell; grandchildren, Steve, Tim and wife (Misty), Brandon and wife (Christy), Erica, Christopher and Tyler Butcher, Andrew Jones, Matthew Jones, Alex Flynn, Joshua Jones and Elise Jones; five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Kelsie, Woodrow, Joe and Claude Eagans; one sister, Bernice (in infancy). Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, December 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
