Obituary of Orlin R. Burkett

Orlin R. Burkett Orlin R. Burkett, 90, of Springville, IN, died at 4:58 pm on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Bloomington Hospital.Born April 7, 1917 in Palestine, IL, he was the son of John and Laura (Shaw) Burkett. He was a dairy farmer and carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.Survivors include two daughters, Ingrid Fitch and her husband, Wayne of Bloomfield, Karen Wright and her husband, Jerry Hill of Springville; one son, Michael Burkett of Springville; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Keith Burkett of NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Aaron and Brent Boruff. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am CST on Tuesday, February 19th at the Pleasant View Cemetery south of Palestine, IL with Tim Wright officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
