Obituary of Phillip M. Brunt

Bedford Phillip M. Brunt, 65, of 119 April Sound Addition, Bedford, went to be with the Lord at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. Phil was born November 19, 1942 in Muncie, IN, the son of Forrest and Murtyle (Owens) Brunt. He married Beverly (Daniel) Guthrie on May 8, 1988 and she survives. Phil retired from GM after thirty years in 1992. He was an original volunteer fireman with the Shawswick Township Fire Dept. for twenty-five years. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed stock car racing and NASCAR, I.U. and BNL basketball and playing bingo at the Leesville Community Center. He was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church and loved all the church family, especially the children. He enjoyed attending various church services and gospel music singing. Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Bedford; one daughter, Robin Saunders and her husband, Jerry of Springville; one son, Larry Brunt of Bedford; two step-sons, Scott Kleindorfer and his fiance, Cindy Grissom, Eric Kleindorfer and his wife, Lisa all of Bedford; one grandson, Anthony Wagner; one great granddaughter, Kira Wagner; step-grandsons, Ryan and Eric Waldo and Landon Kleindorfer; a step-granddaughter, Raichal Miller; brothers, Jack Brunt and his wife, Patti, Max Brunt and his wife, Drenda of Summittville, IN; one sister, Linda Wagoner of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 1st from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
