Obituary of William R. Brown

Bedford William Bill R. Brown, 79, of Bedford, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his residence. Born April 10, 1934 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of William Raymond and Julia Ruth (Owens) Brown. He married Monta Sue Walker on December 22, 1962 and she preceded him in death in 1995. He was a self-employed insurance agent. He attended Grace Full Gospel Church and Normanda Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Steven Brown and wife, Lynelle of Tipton, IN; two grandchildren, Alex and Lanie Brown of Tipton; two brothers, Ronald Brown of Avoca and Richard Brown of Bedford; a sister, Bonnie George of Ellettsville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister, Judie Armstrong. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, February 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 16th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
