Obituary of Jerry L. Bridwell

Bedford- Jerry L. Bridwell, 77, of Bedford died at 10:10 A.M. on Saturday, September 06, 2008 at his residence. Born March 2, 1931 he was the son of Paul C. and Eunice (Qualkinbush) Bridwell. He married Irene Wray on July 31, 1952 and she survives. He retired from General Motors as the tool room supervisor. He was of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33 and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks in Bedford. Survivors include his wife Irene of Bedford; one sister: Paula Chastain and her husband Stan of Bedford; one brother: Derek Bridwell of Bedford; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Sue Ferrell, one brother: Michael Bridwell. Funeral Information A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 9th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor John Lane officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the mortuary.
