Obituary of Edith F. Bradford

Bedford Edith F. Bradford, 83, of 1774 Sunny Acres Dr., Bedford, died at 6:23 pm on Monday, May 16, 2005. Born November 19, 1921 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Robert and Pearl (Horner) Collier. She first married Rusaw Goens in 1939 and he died in 1945. She later married Samuel Bradford in 1959 and he died in 1989. She was a homemaker and a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Pastor Danny Goens and his wife, Deana of Bedford; two daughters, Donna Kern and her husband, Paul and Debra Wagner and her husband, Danny all of Bedford; fifteen grandchildren, Tammy Thomas, Julie Quinn, Jay Kern, Angie Morrow, Darry Goens, Devin Goens, Dee Dee Inman, Samantha Wagner, Hannah Wagner, Haley Wagner, Christie Spinks, David Bradford, Phil Bradford, Monica Bradford and Stacy Burton; several great and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Bennett of Medora and Ruth Johnson of Tunnelton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one brother, Clyde Collier; one sister, Iva Jones; one son, Gary Dale Goens and one grandchild, Carrie Bradford. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 19th at the Unity Missionary Baptist Church on Tunnelton Road in Bedford with Pastor Danny Goens officiating. Burial will follow in the Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the church.
