Obituary of Jimmie D. Young

Bedford, Jimmie D. Young, 69, of 1805 13th Street in Bedford, died at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 3rd, at his residence. Born on July 16, 1935 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Hassel Young and Ola (Turpin-Young) Scott. He married Anna Ruth Armstrong on December 13, 1953 and she survives. He was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church. Surviving with his wife of Bedford, are one son: Danny Young of Bedford; two daughters: Denise Hatfield of Bedford, and Deana Young of Gosport; seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Bobby Young. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6th, at the Englewood Baptist Church with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, October 6th, at the Englewood Baptist Church.
