Obituary of Loydd Robert Inman

Bedford Loydd Robert (Bob) Inman, 86, of Bedford, passed away at 2:30 am on November 16, at his residence. He was born on December 6, 1921, in Bedford, to Primus Victor and Nellie Mae (Stotts) Inman. He joined a brother Richard and later welcomed a sister, Daisy. Bob graduated from Martinsville High School. He played for the golf team and also was a golden gloves boxer. He married Bernice K. Grubb in 1950 in Martinsville, Indiana. They had three children Robert Ora, Denise Kay, and Terri Lea. His children were very special to him. He was a construction worker and was a member of Labors International Union #741 for fifty years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II decorated with an EAME Theater ribbon with three bronze stars and victory medal WW II. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother-in-laws; Johnny, Clarence, Clyde, and Bud. He was an avid reader and enjoyed telling stories about his adventures to his kids and to his grandchildren. Each and every one of them were very special to him and the highlight of his life. Everyone looked forward to have Grandpa call and sing Happy Birthday each year. Each visit to Grandpas house ended with him saying see you all when. He will be greatly missed and forever held dear in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Bernice. They lived in the same neighborhood and walked to school together as children. He thought she was the most beautiful girl in Bedford. Also surviving are a son, Robert Ora Inman and his wife, Beth of Bedford and a daughter, Denise Tillett and her husband, Jeff of Mitchell; grandchildren, Bobby (Debbie) Lewis and their children, Emilee, Hannah, and Madison of Harrodsburg; Dain (Roxana) Inman and their daughter, Idalia of Speedway, Zach, Ashlea, and Seth Inman of Bedford, Jonathon Srygler of Bedford and daughter Mariah of Bloomington, Terry Wayne (Kristy) Srygler and their daughters, Alexis Krebbs and Eden Srygler of Avoca, Jeffery (Korisha) Tillett of Bedford, Michael (Tabby) Tillett and daughter Ellie of Bedford, Mathew and Andrew Tillett of Mitchell, Tessa Kuster and children, Nathan and Abigail Kuster and Brooks Sherrell of Bedford, and Michelle Johnson and sons, Cree and Coda of Bedford, one brother, Richard (Betty) Inman of Martinsville, nephews, Carl and John and sister-in-law, Alice Folk of Bedford. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford with Jeff Tillett officiating. Burial will follow at White River Baptist Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the hour of service Wednesday. See you all when, Grandpa. We love you.
