Obituary of Kam Hung Wong

Bedford- Kam Hung Henry Wong, 46, of 101 Heltonville Road West died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford. Born June 24, 1962 he was the son of Kwok Chau and Chuk Chui (Cheung) Wong. He married Sai Hua Sarah Zhang on February 28, 1989 in Guangzhou, China and she survives. He was a 1981 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School in Evansville. He graduated from Purdue University in 1985 and received his Masters Degree from the University of Evansville. In 1981 he helped his parents open and operate the House of Hong Kong restaurant in Evansville. He worked at NSWC Crane as a Chemical Engineer. In November 1994 he opened the Empress Court in Bedford with his wife Sarah. Henry loved soccer, computers, and video games. He was a coach for the Orbit soccer league as well as an active coach for the Bedford Girls Club. Survivors include his parents: Kwok Chau and Chuk Chui Wong of Evansville, IN; his wife Saihua Sarah Wong of Bedford; one daughter: Ashley Wong; one son Alexander Wong both at home; two sisters: May Francis and her husband Ken of Evansville, IN, and Kim Wong of Evansville, IN; one brother: Howard Wong and his wife Greta of Evansville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. (EST) Thursday, October 9th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial graveside rites will be held at 2:00 P.M (CST). on Thursday, October 9th in the Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. (EST) on Wednesday, October 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
