Obituary of Ruth G. Whitted

Bedford Ruth G. Whitted, 90, of Lawrence Co., passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Born March 21, 1922 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lawrence and Ona (Speer) Hunter. She was baptized into her Christian faith on May 7, 1936. She studied her Bible daily and made detailed notes on what she learned. She married Clyde Chester Whitted on December 27, 1941 and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1994. Ruth is survived by two sons, Carl Whitted and Bill (Cathie) Whitted all of Lawrence Co.; two granddaughters, Christina and Natalie Whitted; one brother, Bob (Bernadine) Hunter; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Celia Pearl Myers and Esther Almond; one brother, Hubert Hunter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jim Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
