Obituary of Robert L. White
Bedford Robert L. White, 73, of 306 Oolitic Road, Bedford, died at 7:10 pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 4, 1932 in Bedford, he was the son of Hobert and Bessie (Kirk) White. He married Naomi Baker on October 28, 1966 and she survives. He was a retired mechanic from Kaiser Aluminum in Bedford and a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army.
Surviving with his wife, Naomi, are one son, Steven White and his wife, Brenda of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Melissa Acton of Bedford; four grandchildren, Kimberly Rubin, Karen White, Steven White and Faith Acton; two brothers, Roger White and Jerry White both of Bedford; one sister, Vicky Prince of Chapel Hill and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bill, Ronnie, Carl and Bennie and one sister, Betty. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 27th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Ralph Harold officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 26th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, August 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
