Obituary of Robert G. Wever

Mitchell Robert G. Bob Wever, 84, of Mitchell, went to be with the Lord at 11:55 am on Friday, September 20, 2013 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington. Born June 5, 1929 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of Ira Glenn and Ada Marie (Link) Wever. Robert first married Eloise Rose Hoggatt and she preceded him in death. He then married Anna Belle Thomas on August 16, 1969 and she survives. Robert retired from East Lawrence Water where he was the manager. He was also a journey draftsman at Indiana Limestone, owner of Hoosier Drafting Service and Clopay Overhead Doors. He was a member of Fairview Community Church where he served as a Deacon, a member of Gideons International since August 16, 1979 where he was President of the Bedford camp, President of Indiana Rural Water for years, a board member of East Lawrence Rural Water and a former board member of the Mitchell Library. He taught Sunday School at Bono United Methodist Church and served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Surviving with his wife, Anna Belle are two sons, Brent Wever and wife Wanda of Bedford, Kent Wever and wife Sandy of Bedford and two daughters, Kim Powell and husband Danny of Mitchell and Susan Tumey and husband Dennis of Bedford, ten grandchildren, BJ, Wever, Brady Wever, AJ Wever, Kirstin Vanlandingham and husband Randy, Dason Powell, Tanner Powell, Ashley Frazier, Josh Tumey, Darren Tumey and Tiffany Fanning, seven great grandchildren, one sister, Nona Case of Bedford, one brother, Bill Wever of Leesville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, parents, first wife, Eloise Rose and one brother John Weaver. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Fairview Community Church with Pastor Lindy Hopkins and Fred Barger officiating. Burial will follow in Talbott Cemetery with military rites accorded. Visitation will be Monday, September 23, 2013 from 2:00 pm 8:00 pm at Fairview Community Church.
